Full location details
Leading from the main entrance hall are the double drawing rooms, the first of which was part of the original house built in 1776 with the adjoining room added in the early 19th century.
Complete with the original Georgian moulded plasterwork on the ceilings, carvings above the door, parquet floors, full-height windows and doors leading directly onto the terrace and gardens this room provides airiness, space and light.
Originally, this is where guests would have been received for tea or sherry before meals and ladies retired to after dinner to play on the piano nobile, play cards, admire artwork or engage in conversation.
These days this room is also ideal for drinks receptions, a buffet and more modern-day entertainment like a disco or photo booth! The rooms lead directly to our games room if you fancy a game of pool or Fusball on our vintage table football. If you're looking for meeting space then the larger of the two spaces can comfortably accommodate meetings in theatre, boardroom or classroom style and the adjoining areas can be used as a breakout space.
